It outlines the current laws and regulations pertaining to the storage and display of ordnance in museums, and discusses the current available processes for making items safe. As the most current research in this field, this paper was utilised by the Science Museum Group London (Science Museum, Museum of Science & Industry, National Media Museum & National Railway Museum) to inform and develop new operating procedures for their hazardous collections.
